The purpose of Great Smoky Mountains Association (GSMA) is to assist Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Through sales, labor, donations, and volunteer efforts, GSMA provides the National Park Service with additional tools for fulfilling its mission.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park Trails Forever
As a keystone component of the Park’s 75th Anniversary, Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Friends of the Smokies are working to create a $4 million “Trails Forever” Endowment. The annual proceeds from the Endowment will be used to fund an annual trails improvement program which will undertake high-priority trail projects throughout the Park.

Friends Of The Great Smoky Mountains
Friends of Great Smoky Mountains National Park assists the National Park Service in its mission to preserve and protect Great Smoky Mountains National Park by raising funds and public awareness, and by providing volunteers for needed projects. Friends of the Smokies is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible as allowable by law. Volunteer
Great Smoky Mountains National Park has integrated volunteerism into many of its Park operations, providing a wide variety of opportunities for people with varying interests. The Volunteers in Parks (VIP) program allows people from all walks of life to step in and lend a hand to help Great Smoky Mountains National Park care for this national treasure and provide for the enjoyment of its visitors.
